We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for and empowering residents of long-term care homes in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. Since 1980, VOICES has been the only agency with state-certified Ombudsman staff committed to ensuring quality of life and care for nursing home and assisted living residents. Our services are free, confidential, and available to anyone with concerns about long-term care.

When my mom’s nursing home tried to move her without our consent, I felt powerless. I had no idea what to do. The VOICES ombudsman stepped in, explained our rights, demanded a hearing and made sure Mom could stay where she was comfortable and safe. We are so grateful for the guidance.
